We count what the answers actually cost, not how many questions you ask. The numbers are an average.
Every answer costs a little: the language model that looks at your screen and thinks, and the voice that reads the answer aloud. A quick “it's top right” uses little. Long explanations, 3D models and web searches use more. Your account always shows roughly how many questions you have left.
Plus and Pro don't stop when the full-voice questions are used. For the rest of the month a lighter language model answers, and your computer uses its own voice and speech recognition. Opie still draws and explains.
If light mode is used up too, Opie pauses until the 1st of next month at 00:00 UTC. You never pay more than the price, and there are no extra charges on your bill.
Free has no light mode. When its roughly 10 questions are used, Opie waits until the 1st of next month, or until you choose Plus or Pro.

You can also use Opie without an Opie plan. If you have Claude, Opie uses it through Claude Code. If you have ChatGPT, it goes through Codex, and the voice uses your own ElevenLabs key. Then you pay us nothing, and the limits are your subscription's.
No. Every plan has all of Opie. The only difference is how many questions you get each month.
By card, through Stripe. Dollar prices are shown without VAT. If VAT applies where you live, it will be shown before you pay. You get a receipt by email every month.
In your account, under “Manage subscription”. You won't pay for the next month, and you can keep using Free.
Yes. Invite them from your account, in the Family tab. Once they've accepted, you can pay for Plus for them. They get their own plan, and the bill comes to you.
Share your link from your account. When your friend pays for the first time, you both get a month of Plus off ($20) your next bill.
